Donald Mitchell is an archaeologist of the University of Victoria. His earlier study of Fort Defiance appeared in the Spring issue of BC Studies in 1970.
William Rodney is a member of the History Department at Canadian Services College, Royal Roads. He is the author of Soldiers of the International, a study of the Communist Party of Canada.
Patricia E. Roy teaches History at the University of Victoria.
